 You can use WhatsApp on 4 devices simultaneously even when your phone is not connected to the Internet.  WhatsApp's new feature gives you this feature.  Once logged in, the devices linked to WhatsApp will be able to receive and send messages up to 14 days after the smartphone is offline.

 From now on you don't have to worry about keeping your smartphone connected to the internet.  WhatsApp has recently started rolling out its multi-device feature extensively.  WhatsApp now allows its users to link up to four devices, without connecting their primary smartphone to the Internet.

 Link can happen with 4 devices

 Despite being in beta, WhatsApp's new feature allows users to link up to four devices, without connecting their primary smartphone to the Internet.  Currently both Android and iOS users can use this feature just by signing up for beta testing.  With this, WhatsApp Web will work on your laptop even without your phone being connected to the internet.

Feature currently in open beta stage

 This new feature of WhatsApp will be very useful for you if you use many devices like phone, laptop, tablet.  This feature is currently in the open beta stage, so users need to sign up for a multi-device beta first.

 How can a new feature be used?

 1. Open WhatsApp in the smartphone and click on the three-dot menu in the upper right corner

 2. Select the linked device by clicking on the three-dot menu.  This will open the screen from where you login to WhatsApp web.

 3. Tap “Multi Device Beta”, then tap “Join Beta”.

 4. Return to the Lined Devices page and tap on the 'Link Device' button.

 5. Open web.whatsapp.com on your other device.

 6. Scan the QR code displayed on your secondary device with your smartphone camera.

 7. Once linked you can use WhatsApp web comfortably without forgetting the smartphone.

 Once linked, anyone can use WhatsApp on both devices in this way.  You don't have to worry about keeping your primary smartphone connected to the internet or turning it on for that matter.  Once logged in, devices linked to WhatsApp will be able to receive and send messages up to 14 days after the smartphone is offline.

 New feature limit

 There is a limit to this feature on iOS.  It does not allow you to remove conversations or messages from the linked device.  Additionally, you still can't link tablet or secondary smartphone to WhatsApp.
